First licensed at the age of 16 as WN6UBK in 1966, I then upgrated to general and became WB6UBK. My elmer was Bob De Shields, K6ITZ. I served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971 as a radar repairman. I lost interest in ham radio sometime in the 80s, then while attending a Southern baptist destaer relief training session in 07, I once again got the bug (no pun intended). On HF.

I operate mostly cw using the Kenwood TS940S, IC-718 or the TS-520S. On two meter FM, I use the Yaesu FT-2800M.
